Pistons 109, Magic 86: Jodie Meeks scored a season-high 34 points and made a career-best nine 3-pointers as visiting Detroit defeated Orlando.

Andre Drummond contributed 17 points and 22 rebounds as the Pistons won their third straight game. D.J. Augustin had 11 points and 10 assists to help Stan Van Gundy enjoy a victorious return to Orlando in his first game coaching in the building since being fired by the Magic in 2012.

Victor Oladipo scored 16 points and Tobias Harris added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Magic. Nikola Vucevic was the lone other player in double figures with 10 points.

Orlando trailed 82-73 after Channing Frye’s 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter before the Pistons took over. Joel Anthony capped a 10-0 burst with back-to-back baskets and Augustin drained a 3-pointer to make it 100-75 with 6:20 to play as Detroit rolled to the finish.

Meeks scored 20 first-half points and went 6-of-6 from 3-point range as the Pistons held a 54-47 lead at the break. Brandon Jennings hit a 3-pointer to cap an 11-1 run in the third that gave Detroit an 18-point lead and the advantage was 80-70 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit was 14-of-33 from 3-point range and has made 31 over the last two games. … Orlando was 6-of-10 from the free-throw line and was outrebounded 54-42. … The double-double was Drummond’s 17th of the season and he has four games of 20 or more rebounds.
