Bulls 107, Pelicans 100: Jimmy Butler scored 33 points as host Chicago extended its season-long winning streak to six games.

Derrick Rose added 19 points, including his first slam dunk of the season, for the Bulls. The bench was well represented for Chicago as Aaron Brooks scored 13 points, Taj Gibson had 12 and a team-high 10 rebounds and Nikola Mirotic finished with 10 points.

New Orleans forward Anthony Davis finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks in his first NBA game in his hometown. Tyreke Evans contributed 26 points and Jrue Holiday finished with 19 and seven assists for the Pelicans, who were coming off a win Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

Holiday had four points and a steal in a 17-second span early in the fourth quarter to put the Pelicans back on top 56-55, but leads were short-lived for New Orleans. Chicago scored on five straight possessions to move ahead 66-62 with 5:01 left in the third quarter and the Bulls never trailed again.

Evans scored out of a timeout to cut the deficit to two, but Joakim Noah tipped in a missed jumper by Brooks and Butler followed with a layup as the lead continued to grow and the Bulls eventually took a nine-point advantage into the fourth. Chicago continued to answer every New Orleans challenge in the final 12 minutes, even when the Pelicans cut the deficit to seven with 2:58 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Butler is averaging 26.3 points in the last six games to bump his season average to 22 points. … Davis shot 3-for-3 from the free-throw line and is 38-for-42 in the last eight games …. Chicago played without backup PG Kirk Hinrich (left hamstring strain).
