Thunder 104, Lakers 103: Russell Westbrook collected 31 points, 10 assists and five rebounds as Oklahoma City edged host Los Angeles.

Reggie Jackson scored 25 points off the bench for the Thunder, who were without Kevin Durant due to a right ankle sprain. Serge Ibaka contributed 16 points, seven rebounds and five blocks as Oklahoma City picked up its 10th win in the last 12 games.

Ed Davis had a season-high 18 points and nine rebounds while Ronnie Price scored all of his season-high 14 points in the first quarter for the Lakers. Carlos Boozer added 14 points off the bench for Los Angeles but Kobe Bryant was held to nine on 3-of-15 shooting and missed a potential game-winner in the final seconds.

The Lakers used a 13-2 run to grab a 91-88 lead with 7:13 left but the Thunder bounced back and grabbed a 100-99 edge on Ibaka’s jumer with 2:14 to play. Boozer responded with a basket but Jackson hit a pair of free throws and Westbrook’s jumper from the right elbow made it a 104-101 edge as Oklahoma City held on.

Los Angeles came out strong and led by 11 early in the second quarter before Westbrook led a surge with eight points in the final four minutes to put the Thunder in front 52-50 at the half. Boozer’s basket with 2:15 left in the third tied it up at 70 before Oklahoma City buried three 3-pointers in a 12-3 burst to take an 82-73 lead into the final period.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Durant was walking freely without a boot or crutches and could return when the Thunder host the New Orleans Pelicans. … Lakers G Nick Young was ejected early in the fourth quarter when he was called for a flagrant 2 foul after throwing a forearm at Oklahoma City C Steven Adams’ neck. … Westbrook went 13-of-13 from the free-throw line and the Thunder were 22-of-29 from the line.
