LaMarcus Aldridge added 23 points and 15 rebounds to help Portland to a 52-32 advantage on the glass. Mayo ended the run with a free throw but the Trail Blazers, who trailed by 10 midway through the second quarter, took their first double-digit lead on a 20-footer by Aldridge, his third straight basket for Portland, and the Trail Blazers made enough free throws down the stretch to hold off the Bucks.
