Spurs 111, Celtics 89: Danny Green collected 18 points, six rebounds and three steals as visiting San Antonio cruised past Boston to earn its seventh straight victory.

Boris Diaw added 15 points and seven rebounds while Tim Duncan contributed 14 points and eight boards for the Spurs, who went 18-of-20 from the free-throw line. Aron Baynes scored 13 points in a reserve role and Tony Parker dished out nine assists for San Antonio.

Jeff Green led the way with 16 points while Evan Turner scored 12 for the Celtics, who have dropped six straight at home. Tyler Zeller grabbed 10 rebounds in his first start of the season and Rajon Rondo dished out a game-high 10 assists for Boston.

San Antonio led 23-14 before Turner came off the bench to score eight points during a 22-4 run that put the Celtics on top 36-27. Danny Green hit a 3-pointer to even the score at 45 before Brandon Bass knocked down two straight jumpers to give Boston a four-point edge at intermission.

Kawhi Leonard converted a three-point play to put the Spurs in front 69-67 and Danny Green's driving layup stretched the lead to seven early in the fourth quarter. San Antonio pulled away 97-80 after Baynes connected from beyond the arc and the Spurs were never threatened the rest of the way as they secured their 15th straight win over an Eastern Conference opponent.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Spurs have won the last six matchups with the Celtics. … San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich returned to the bench after missing the last two games due to a minor medical procedure. … Boston SG Marcus Thornton and Bass added 10 points apiece off the bench.
