Bucks 122, Nets 118 (3OT): Jabari Parker scored 23 points and O.J. Mayo added 21 as Milwaukee outlasted host Brooklyn.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Brandon Knight scored 18 points as Bucks coach Jason Kidd was victorious against the team he led last season. Ersan Ilyasova tallied 14 points, including the first two baskets in the third overtime, as Milwaukee broke a five-game losing streak against the Nets.

Brook Lopez scored a season-best 26 points and Bojan Bogdanovic added 19 points for Brooklyn. Joe Johnson had 18 points and eight assists and Deron Williams had 18 points and seven assists.

Johnson’s basket gave Brooklyn a 105-103 advantage with 42 seconds left in the first overtime before Mayo hit two free throws to tie it with 21.2 seconds to go. Johnson turned the ball over in the final seconds and Knight drove the length of the court and missed the layup prior to the buzzer but redeemed himself when he hit a tying 3-pointer with 19.6 seconds left in the second overtime.

The Nets held a 49-41 lead at the break and Lopez’s basket gave Brooklyn an 11-point edge with 7:41 left in the third quarter before Milwaukee battled back to trail 72-69 entering the final stanza. The contest was tied at 93 after Parker’s putback tied it with two minutes left in regulation but Lopez’s offensive-rebound hoop put the Nets ahead with 1:14 to play before Mayo’s fast-break basket knotted it with 30.4 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bucks were just 5-of-24 from 3-point range with Mayo making three. …. Lopez committed seven of Brooklyn’s 22 turnovers. … Bogdanovic made four of the Nets’ nine 3-pointers.
