Bulls 105, Clippers 89: Jimmy Butler had 22 points and eight assists and Taj Gibson contributed 20 points and six assists as Chicago beat Los Angeles to improve to 6-0 on the road.

Mike Dunleavy added 19 points and seven rebounds for the Bulls, who were without point guard Derrick Rose (hamstring) and power forward Pau Gasol (calf). Kirk Hinrich scored 14 points, Nikola Mirotic added 12 and Joakim Noah had 11 points, a season-best 16 rebounds and six assists as Chicago prevailed in the opener of a seven-game road trip.

Jamal Crawford matched his season high with 24 points and Blake Griffin added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers. Chris Paul had 12 points and seven assists and DeAndre Jordan chipped in with 10 points and 17 rebounds.

The Clippers led 46-32 after Paul’s basket with 3:44 remaining before Chicago outscored Los Angeles 51-18 over the next 16 minutes, 53 seconds. The Bulls trailed 50-48 at halftime but went 12-of-21 from the field in the third quarter to take a 79-64 lead into the final stanza.

Chicago led 89-71 after Noah’s basket with 8:08 remaining before Los Angeles went on a 14-3 surge to move within seven points with four minutes left. Dunleavy hit two 3-pointers to help the Bulls regain control and break a four-game losing streak against the Clippers.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Dunleavy and Hinrich each made four 3-pointers and Chicago had 10 overall. … Los Angeles was just 10-of-22 from the free-throw line. … Rose has missed two games with his latest injury and has sat out six overall.
