Tim Duncan added 18 points and 11 rebounds while Tony Parker scored 13 for the Spurs, who earned their first road win. Manu Ginobili scored 10 off the bench but missed a pair of free throws late that gave the Clippers a final chance before Leonard finished it off at the line.

Parker’s free throws pulled the Spurs within 75-73 with 7:03 left but the Clippers scored five straight points to spread it back out before going the rest of the way without a field goal. Leonard’s layup gave the Spurs their first lead of the night at 83-82 with 1:44 to play and Ginobili capped the 12-0 run with a floater to give San Antonio a five-point cushion before Jamal Crawford buried three free throws to end the Los Angeles drought.

The Clippers held a 10-point lead with five minutes left in the first half before the Spurs used a 12-3 run to pull within a point. San Antonio settled for a 42-39 deficit at the half and never managed to grab the lead in the third quarter as Los Angeles carried a 70-64 advantage into the final 12 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Spurs went 0-of-12 from beyond the arc in the first half and finished 2-of-19. … San Antonio C Tiago Splitter (calf/back) was scheduled to see a specialist in Los Angeles to determine if his ongoing calf issues stem from inflammation in his back. … Los Angeles’ previous season low was 92 points in a loss to Sacramento on Nov. 2, and the team had not failed to reach at least 90 since a 107-88 loss to Phoenix on Dec. 30, 2013.
