Wizards 96, Pacers 94 (OT):
John Wall scored 31 points and dished out 10 assists to help host Washington continue its best start in nine seasons.

Garrett Temple had 16 points and Marcin Gortat contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards, who made 21-of-23 free throws. Paul Pierce scored seven of his 11 points after the third quarter to get the most out of a 3-for-15 showing as Washington finished with a 37.4 percent mark from the floor.

Donald Sloan scored a career-high 31 points for Indiana and hit the game-tying hoop in the waning moments of the fourth quarter to force overtime. Chris Copeland had 19 points off the bench and led all players with 12 rebounds, helping the Pacers record a 57-43 advantage on the boards in their fourth straight loss.

Wall scored on three straight possessions midway through OT to give Washington a 93-88 lead but the hosts didn't make a field goal for the final 2:16, allowing Indiana to get within 95-94 on Sloan's free throws with 15.6 seconds left. Wall made one of his two foul shots on the other end and the Pacers' last chance resulted in an awkward kick-out to center Roy Hibbert, whose 3-point try before the horn was off.

Wall had a jumper to break a tie and then assisted on Nene's basket that made it 81-77 with 2:45 left in regulation before Sloan scored twice in a 30-second span to forge another deadlock. After Pierce hit two free throws, Wall had an airball and Sloan took advantage of Indiana's last chance, scoring with 6.9 seconds remaining before Pierce was off at the buzzer to force overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Neither team led by more than seven points in the first half as Washington used 14 points by Wall to take a 46-41 lead into the locker room. ... Hibbert's 3-point try was just the 21st of his career and the miss made him finish the game 0-for-7 from the floor. ... Indiana signed G Gal Mekel, who was released earlier in the season by Dallas.
