Rockets 104, 76ers 93: James Harden collected 35 points, nine rebounds and five assists as visiting Houston downed Philadelphia to remain undefeated.

Trevor Ariza added 24 points and seven assists for the Rockets, who are off to their first 4-0 start since the 1996-97 season. Dwight Howard chipped in with 14 rebounds and four blocks and Isaiah Canaan scored 13 points for Houston, which overcame 22 turnovers.

Tony Wroten led the way with 20 points, five rebounds and five steals for the 76ers, who have lost four straight games. K.J. McDaniels scored 14 points off the bench and Brandon Davies tallied 13 for Philadelphia, which finished just 16-of-23 from the free throw line.

Ariza started off 4-of-4 from beyond the arc to give Houston a 32-19 lead before Alexey Shved came off the bench to spark a 19-5 run that put Philadelphia on top by one midway through the second quarter. Ariza led all scorers with 19 points in the first half as the Rockets took a 55-54 edge into the break despite committing 10 turnovers.

Harden scored nine points during a 17-4 surge to open up the second half as Houston stretched its advantage to 14 before settling for a 79-74 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Canaan knocked down two straight 3-pointers to push the margin to 10 with 3:54 remaining as the Rockets went on to snap a three-game losing skid to the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Houston PG Patrick Beverley missed his second straight game with a strained hamstring. … Philadelphia PF Nerlens Noel had six steals to go with 10 points. ... Harden went 17-of-18 from the free throw line and is 51-of-54 on the season, while Ariza is averaging 32 points in his last two games against the 76ers.
