Wizards 108, Bucks 97: Otto Porter Jr. came off the bench to score 19 of his career-high 21 points after halftime as Washington won its home opener.

Nene finished with 22 points and Marcin Gortat added 20, as the two big men combined to shoot 19-of-26 from the floor. John Wall scored 19 points and Garrett Temple added 18 as the Wizards survived the ejection of Paul Pierce in his home debut with the franchise.

Brandon Knight finished with 24 points and Jerryd Bayless contributed 20 for Milwaukee, which turned the ball over 28 times. Jabari Parker was the only other Buck in double figures with 13 points on 5-of-17 shooting.

In the waning seconds of the first half, Pierce was whistled for two technical fouls for arguing a clear-path foul and Knight hit three free throws to pull Milwaukee within 49-44 at halftime after it trailed by 16. The margin remained five points until midway through the third quarter when Temple hit a 3-pointer and a layup before Porter buried a triple of his own to make it 70-59.

The lead ballooned to 17 in the opening moments of the fourth but the Bucks battled back, slicing the deficit to 98-90 on Knight's layup with 4:52 left. Nene scored moments later and Temple buried another 3-pointer to make it 103-90 and Milwaukee never seriously threatened again.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Pierce had two points in 17 minutes before his ejection. ... Wall and Mayo picked up double technicals after an encounter near the end of the third and Bucks head coach Jason Kidd was given one at the close of the quarter. ... Parker had a game-high 11 rebounds to help Milwaukee register a 48-44 advantage on the boards.
