Heat 98, Bobcats 85: LeBron James had 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as visiting Miami rolled over Charlotte to take a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series.

Dwyane Wade added 17 points and six assists as the Heat defeated the Bobcats for the 19th consecutive time. Chris Andersen contributed 12 points and seven rebounds for Miami, which will go for the sweep in Monday’s contest at Charlotte.

Al Jefferson had 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting for the Bobcats, who were in the game for the first 19 1/2 minutes before it got away. Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 17 points and Josh McRoberts and Kemba Walker added 13 points apiece.

The contest was tied at 42 with 4 1/2 minutes to go in the first half before Miami began dominating the contest. A 3-pointer by James Jones gave the Heat a 79-53 lead with 3:59 left in the third quarter and advantage was 21 heading into a final 12 minutes that lacked suspense.

Miami closed the first half with a 16-4 run to take a 58-46 lead into the break. The onslaught picked up steam in the third quarter as the Heat opened with a 12-4 surge to push the lead to 20 on Wade’s basket with 6:24 left in the stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Heat are 18-0 against Charlotte since James joined the squad. … Bobcats F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored just three points on 1-of-6 shooting after erupting for 22 points in Game 2. … Miami was 9-of-18 from 3-point range with six different players making at least one.
