Warriors 130, Timberwolves 120:
Stephen Curry hit seven 3-pointers en route to 32 points and added 15 assists as Golden State outlasted the visiting Timberwolves to secure their playoff position.

Draymond Green scored a career-high 20 points to go along with 12 rebounds as the Warriors clinched the fifth 50-win season in franchise history and locked up the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference playoffs. David Lee scored 25 points on 12-of-14 shooting and Klay Thompson added 20 points for Golden State.

Kevin Love led all five starters in double figures with 40 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists for the Timberwolves. Corey Brewer scored 22 points and Gorgui Dieng recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds as Minnesota slipped a game below .500 at 40-41.

Green’s 3-pointer with 9:47 left gave the Warriors a 107-99 lead but the Timberwolves chipped away and were within 119-116 after Love’s 3-pointer with 2:34 to play. Lee responded with a layup, Curry added a layup and buried a 3-pointer on the next possession to push Golden State’s lead to 10 points with 1:24 remaining.

Minnesota came out on fire and Love scored 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the first quarter to spark his team to a 42-28 lead after the period. The lead reached 19 points early in the second before the Warriors got back into it, using a 23-4 run to knot it at 55 before going into the break down 64-62.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Curry has scored at least 30 points in three straight games for the first time in his career. … Golden State F Andre Iguodala (knee) and C Andrew Bogut (broken rib) got the night off. … Minnesota will attempt to clinch a non-losing season at home against the West-worst Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
