Warriors 102, Kings 69:
Klay Thompson scored 21 points and Golden State put on a show defensively in trouncing visiting Sacramento.

Harrison Barnes scored 16 points off the bench and Marreese Speights collected 12 points and 10 rebounds in a reserve role as the Warriors stayed 1 1/2 games ahead of Dallas in the race for the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry and Jermaine O’Neal added 13 points for Golden State.

DeMarcus Cousins had 19 points and 11 rebounds but the Kings shot 32.1 percent from the field en route to a season-low point total. Jason Thompson and Rudy Gay scored 10 points apiece and Ray McCallum handed out 10 assists for Sacramento.

Cousins scored the first basket of the game and the Kings never led again. Curry’s jumper gave the Warriors a 19-6 lead and his 3-pointer with 7:39 left in the second quarter pushed the lead to 20 points as Sacramento went the first 4:39 of the second without a field goal.

Curry, Thompson and Barnes each hit a 3-pointer in a 13-0 run closing the first half to send Golden State into the break with a 59-27 as the Kings shot 17.9 percent from the field. O’Neal’s basket early in the third extended the lead out to 70-29 before Sacramento finally started to hit some shots.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Warriors F Draymond Green started in place of F David Lee (hamstring) and recorded his third career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. … The margin of victory was the second-largest ever for the Warriors over the Kings and the seventh time they have won by 30 or more points in the series. … Thompson went over 200 3-pointers on the season, giving Golden State the only tandem in NBA history (Thompson and Curry) to hit at least 200 3-pointers in consecutive seasons.
