Bulls 105, Hawks 92: D.J. Augustin poured in 23 points off the bench to lead visiting Chicago to its sixth straight win over spiraling Atlanta.

Kirk Hinrich and Jimmy Butler scored 17 apiece for the Bulls, who won for the fifth time in six games to remain tied with Toronto for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Carlos Boozer chipped in 12 points and Joakim Noah collected 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

Paul Millsap racked up 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Hawks, who have lost seven of eight to fall two percentage points behind New York for the final playoff spot in the East. Jeff Teague added 21 points and eight assists for Atlanta.

The Bulls led throughout the second half and took control early in the fourth quarter as Augustin hit a 3-pointer with 10:26 left to push the margin to double digits. Atlanta clawed with six with just over four minutes left but Augustin answered with another 3-pointer and the Hawks never threatened again.

Both teams shot over 60 percent from the field in the first quarter, but only the Bulls kept up the hot shooting in the second. Chicago outscored Atlanta 26-18 in the second and went to the locker room with a 57-49 advantage behind 14 points from Augustin.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The win was No. 200 for Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau, who is 200-105 in his career. … Noah has recorded four straight double-doubles. … The Bulls improved to 37-4 when leading after three quarters, including a 16-1 mark on the road.
