Warriors 104, Pistons 96: Stephen Curry flirted with a triple-double with 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds as visiting Golden State topped Detroit.

Klay Thompson added 19 points and Jermaine O’Neal picked up his second straight double-double with 16 points and 10 boards as the Warriors won their fourth straight. Jordan Crawford chipped in 15 points off the bench and Harrison Barnes scored 11 for Golden State.

Greg Monroe had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead the Pistons, who fell for the fifth time in six games. Josh Smith recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, Kyle Singler scored 18 points and Brandon Jennings contributed 11 points and 10 assists for Detroit.

The Warriors grabbed a 92-90 lead on Steve Blake’s 3-pointer with 6:28 left and made it a three-point edge on Barnes’ free throw 38 seconds later. The Pistons pulled within a point on each of their next two possessions before Curry’s jumper kicked off a 9-2 surge as Golden State put it away.

Detroit led by as much as five points early in the third quarter and took an 83-81 edge into the fourth. Smith’s dunk with 6:52 left gave the Pistons their last lead of the night at 90-89, and they went the final 4:10 without a field goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Warriors F David Lee (flu) missed his second straight game but C Andrew Bogut (shoulder) returned from a seven-game absence and hauled in seven rebounds to go along with four points. … Golden State’s bench outscored Detroit’s reserves 42-15. … The Pistons put up a 54-26 advantage on points in the paint.
