Stephen Curry had 36 points and 10 assists and Klay Thompson made a career-best eight 3-pointers while scoring 28 points as visiting Golden State edged Sacramento.

Harrison Barnes and David Lee chipped in 11 points apiece as the Warriors won for only the second time in seven games. Andrew Bogut grabbed 12 rebounds and made a game-ending block for Golden State, which went 15-of-25 from 3-point range.

DeMarcus Cousins had 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting and Marcus Thornton scored 21 points for the Kings, who lost their fourth straight game. Isaiah Thomas added 19 points and eight assists and Patrick Patterson scored 18 points on 8-of-8 shooting for Sacramento, which committed 24 turnovers.

Patterson drained a 3-pointer to give the Kings a 109-107 edge with 1:58 to play before Curry hit back-to-back baskets to put the Warriors ahead. Cousins hit a tying shot with 12.6 seconds remaining before Curry made two free throws with 8.6 seconds to go and Sacramento came up empty when Bogut swatted away Thomas’ shot with under two seconds left.

Golden State had a 98-87 lead after Barnes hit two free throws with eight minutes remaining. The Kings answered with a 12-2 burst to pull within one on a 3-pointer by Thornton and took a 104-102 lead on Thomas’ 3-pointer with 3:51 to play.

The Warriors led by three points at halftime and boosted the lead to 88-72 on a 3-pointer by Curry with 2:08 left in the third quarter. Sacramento ended the stanza with an 8-2 run to trail by 10 entering the fourth.

Thompson scored 16 first-half points and Curry added 13 as the Warriors led 56-53 at the break. Sacramento shot 59.4 percent in the half with Cousins tallying 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Golden State’s 15 3-pointers match a season high. … Cousins drew a flagrant 2 foul for elbowing Lee with Sacramento possessing the ball and ahead by two points with 3:10 to play. … The Warriors racked up 13 steals and scored 33 points off Sacramento's turnovers.
