Rockets 116, Trail Blazers 98: James Harden scored 33 points and Jeremy Lin added 22 and eight assists as visiting Houston took control in the second half and extended its winning streak to four games.

Greg Smith chipped in 19 points and Francisco Garcia had 11 for the Rockets, who moved a season-high 10 games over .500 and remained one game behind sixth-place Golden State in the Western Conference. Houston shot 51.3 percent and hit 12 3-pointers.

Portland lost its seventh straight game despite a solid performance by LaMarcus Aldridge, who had 32 points and 13 rebounds after missing four games with a sprained ankle. Wesley Matthews added 18 points and Damian Lillard scored 11 on 4-of-12 shooting.

The Rockets, who finished the season series against the Trail Blazers tied at two games apiece, led 63-56 at halftime and outscored Portland by eight in the third quarter. Lin hit a 3-pointer to put Houston ahead 75-63 with 8:30 remaining, and it used an 11-4 run to lead 114-94 with four minutes left.

Omer Asik grabbed 11 rebounds and Harden hit four 3-pointers for the Rockets, who made 12 of their 28 shots from 3-point range while Portland missed 18 of 20 from beyond the arc. Houston has won the first two games of its three-game road trip, which concludes Saturday in Denver.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rockets played without F Chandler Parsons (calf) and G Carlos Delfino (illness). … Aldridge leads the NBA with seven games of at least 30 points and 10 rebounds. … Matthews missed 10 of his 11 shots from 3-point range, and he's 3-for-21 from beyond the arc in his last two games.
