Trail Blazers 101, Clippers 100: J.J. Hickson hit two free throws with 45.2 seconds left to cap a game-ending 10-0 run that lifted host Portland to a dramatic victory over struggling Los Angeles.

The Clippers led 100-91 after Lamar Odom’s jumper with 2:38 left but didn’t score again. Damian Lillard sparked the comeback with a 3-pointer and Wesley Matthews had a key three-point play to help send Los Angeles to its fourth straight loss, matching a season-worst skid.

Lillard scored 20 points, Nicolas Batum had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists and Matthews tallied 18 points for Portland. The Trail Blazers survived a last-second shot by Los Angeles’ Jamal Crawford that bounced off the rim to win the first contest of a home-and-home between the two clubs.

Blake Griffin had 24 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists and Crawford scored 19 points for the Clippers, who were without point guard Chris Paul (knee) for the third straight game.

Crawford scored seven points during an 11-0 stretch – including the 3-pointer that started the run – as the Clippers turned a four-point deficit into a 96-89 lead with 4:13 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Trail Blazers were 20-of-21 from the free-throw line with Matthews hitting all seven of his attempts. … Los Angeles had a 56-32 edge in points in the paint. … Portland led 51-45 at halftime and stretched the lead to 13 on a 3-pointer by Lillard with 4:50 left in the third quarter.
