Hornets 111, 76ers 99: Greivis Vasquez scored 23 points to lead five players in double figures as visiting New Orleans avenged an embarrassing early-season loss to Philadelphia.

Eric Gordon had 19 points and Ryan Anderson came off the bench to add 14 points and nine rebounds for the Hornets, who were limited to a franchise-low point total in a 77-62 defeat against the Sixers on Nov. 7.

New Orleans shot 53 percent (44-of-83) and hit 10 of 18 3-pointers to improve to 5-1 in the last six games and hand Philadelphia its sixth loss in seven games.

Jrue Holiday hit four 3-pointers and finished with 29 points and 11 assists to lead the Sixers, who were 11-of-21 from behind the arc. Evan Turner and Nick Young added 14 points apiece.

The Hornets were ahead 67-61 with 5 1/2 minutes left in the third before ripping off seven straight unanswered points to ignite a 19-7 run and take an 86-68 lead into the final 12 minutes. Anderson, Xavier Henry and Brian Roberts hit 3-pointers in the spurt, and Philadelphia never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hornets rookie Anthony Davis had 10 points and seven rebounds and Al-Farouq Aminu grabbed eight boards as New Orleans dominated the glass 48-32. ... Young, the 76ers' highest-scoring reserve, was benched in Saturday's win over Houston and sat out the first three quarters before entering in the fourth and scoring all his 14 points in the first 5 1/2 minutes. ... New Orleans shot a blistering 76.2 percent (16-of-21) in the opening quarter, with Vasquez and Gordon combining to go 9-of-10.
