Clippers 99, Grizzlies 73: Matt Barnes collected 16 points and eight rebounds and Blake Griffin chipped in 10 and six in 25 minutes as visiting Los Angeles pounded Memphis despite being without Chris Paul.

Paul was ruled out before the game due to a bruised right knee cap and is day-to-day. Eric Bledsoe started in his place and scored 14 points while Jamal Crawford had 16 off the bench for the Clippers, who were beginning a stretch of 14 of 17 on the road.

Zach Randolph recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds and Wayne Ellington scored 11 for the Grizzlies, who were without top scorer Rudy Gay due to a personal matter.

Without Gay around to break down the defense, Memphis struggled to get anything done offensively. The Grizzlies shot 30.3 percent from the field to suffer a second straight setback.

Los Angeles held Memphis under 30 percent in the first half to take a 53-34 lead into the break and were never challenged in the second half. The Clippers took a 21-point lead into the fourth quarter and kept pushing, stretching it out to 95-68 on Ryan Hollins’ basket with 2:42 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Grizzlies have been held under 85 points in each of their last four losses. … Paul, who bumped knees with J.J. Redick in a loss to Orlando on Saturday, could miss Tuesday’s game at Houston. … Marc Gasol grabbed 10 rebounds for Memphis but went 4-of-13 from the field. Ellington’s 4-of-9 effort was the closest any Grizzlies player came to breaking even.
