Trail Blazers 103, Timberwolves 95: Wesley Matthews scored a game-high 30 points and rookie Damian Lillard added 28 and eight assists as Portland posted its third consecutive home victory.

J.J. Hickson returned from a one-game absence due to a sprained left shoulder to record 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won four of five overall.

Kevin Love had 24 points and 13 boards while Nikola Pekovic contributed 18 and 10 for Minnesota, which began a four-game road trip with its fourth straight loss.

Ahead by five points after the first quarter, the Timberwolves opened the second with an 8-0 run that extended their advantage to 41-28. Portland chipped away and took a 71-69 lead on a 3-pointer by Lillard with 3:33 remaining in the third.

With Minnesota holding a 78-75 lead, the Trail Blazers went on a 13-0 burst that bridged the third and fourth quarters to move ahead for good.
