Stephen Curry scored 23 points and clinched it at the free throw line in the final seconds as visiting Golden State handed Los Angeles its first setback.

Carl Landry collected 23 points and 10 rebounds off the bench and Klay Thompson added 17 and eight for the Warriors, who dominated the glass by a 48-33 margin.

Curry left the door open for the Clippers by splitting a pair of free throws with 21 seconds left but made up for it on the other end by taking a charge from Chris Paul. Curry hit the ensuing free throws to make it a two-possession game with 6.9 seconds left.

Golden State held a lead for most of the night and used a 12-2 run early in the fourth quarter to build a 97-83 cushion with 7:46 left. Paul took over from there, scoring eight points and handing out four assists as Los Angeles closed the gap.

Jamal Crawford’s 3-pointer with two minutes left finally tied it at 105-105. Paul hit his first 19 free-throw attempts but missed the 20th that would have tied it again at 109-109 and Los Angeles never managed to grab the lead. Paul finished with 27 points and 10 assists and Crawford scored 27 points off the bench.
