PISTONS 99, WIZARDS 94:
Greg Monroe scored 18 points and Rodney Stuckey added 15 as Detroit defeated visiting Washington.

Tayshaun Prince scored 14 points and Ben Gordon added 13 as the Pistons won their third consecutive contest.

John Wall had 28 points and 10 assists for Washington, which lost its fourth straight game and ninth of its last 10.

Detroit led by 11 points at halftime but Washington cut the lead to 70-64 with less than two minutes left in the third quarter. The Pistons responded with the final six points of the stanza as part of a 16-2 run and took an 86-66 lead on Rodney Stuckey’s three-point play with 9:18 remaining.

The Wizards quickly cut Detroit’s lead in half as Roger Mason hit two 3-pointers and Cartier Martin made one during an 11-1 run that pulled Washington within 87-77 with 6:50 remaining.

Jason Maxiell had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Detroit.

Kevin Seraphin added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Wizards.

Monroe had 13 points in the first half to help the Pistons to a 51-40 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit has won nine of its last 11 home games. … Center Nene and forward Trevor Booker each missed their fourth straight game due to foot ailments for the Wizards. … Stuckey (hamstring) returned after a three-game absence and made six of seven shots. … Washington guard Jordan Crawford had just nine points on 2-of-13 shooting after scoring 28 against Indiana in his previous game.
