LaMarcus Aldridge shot just 9 of 27 from the floor but still ended up with 20 points and 10 rebounds as the visiting Portland Trail Blazers escaped with a 107-102 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
Wesley Matthews added 21 points while Andre Miller chipped in 19 and Nicolas Batum finished with 17 for the Blazers, who snapped a two-game slide.
Portland looked as though it had the game in hand early in the fourth quarter before the Kings embarked on an 8-2 run, taking their first lead of the half at 86-85 when Jason Thompson drained a jumper with 6:20 remaining.
It was tied 95-95 with 3:13 left when the Blazers began their finishing kick, getting a 3-pointer from Batum and then a steal from Matthews that led to a dunk in transition and a five-point edge. Aldridge added a jumper and Matthews hit four free throws in the final 29 seconds to put it away.
DeMarcus Cousins recorded 28 points and 11 rebounds and Marcus Thornton scored 26 points off the bench for Sacramento.
