Dorell Wright had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Warriors, who have won six of eight, including wins against five teams with winning records.

David West and Marco Belinelli scored 15 points each for the Hornets, who have lost six of seven and are 2-6 without injured center Emeka Okafor (oblique).

The Warriors trailed by as many as 15 in the first quarter, but shot 25 of 41 over the next two periods to take an 83-71 lead entering the fourth. Ellis scored 10 points in the second and Curry drained a trio of 3-pointers and handed out five assists in the third.

Golden State got a 3-pointer from Reggie Williams, a three-point play from David Lee and a breakaway dunk from Williams to push the edge to 19 with 8 1/2 minutes to play.

The final score was the closest the Hornets got thereafter.
