Stephen Jackson had 29 points and 10 rebounds and converted the go-ahead three-point play to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 97-92 victory over the visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Jackson scored a layup and added a free throw with 48.5 seconds left to give Charlotte a two-point lead as the Bobcats (27-38) snapped a six-game losing streak.

Wesley Matthews scored 20 points for Portland (37-28) but missed a game-tying free throw with 5.6 seconds left. Charlotte’s D.J. Augustin and D.J. White each hit two foul shots in the final 4.9 seconds to seal the victory.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Andre Miller had 15 points and nine assists for the Trail Blazers, whose four-game winning streak ended.

Augustin and White netted 16 points apiece for Charlotte, and White also had nine rebounds.

Portland’s Gerald Wallace had 13 points and nine rebounds in his return to Charlotte after being dealt from the Bobcats to the Trail Blazers last month.

Charlotte had an 86-77 lead after Dante Cunningham’s basket with 5:54 remaining, but the Trail Blazers responded with a 12-2 run. Brandon Roy tied the game with 2:26 left and Aldridge hit one of two free throws to give Portland an 89-88 lead with 1:51 to play.

Aldridge's jumper gave the Trail Blazers a 91-90 edge prior to Jackson’s decisive three-point play.
