Carlos Delfino had a career-high 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and the host Milwaukee Bucks held the New York Knicks to nine first-quarter points en route to a 100-95 victory on Sunday.

John Salmons scored 22 points and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute added 19 points and eight rebounds as Milwaukee (28-41) won its second consecutive contest and improved to 13-3 when scoring 100 or more points.

Amar’e Stoudemire had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Carmelo Anthony scored 23 and Chauncey Billups added 21 for New York (35-34), which lost for the fifth time in six games.

The Bucks led 32-9 after an opening quarter in which New York was 4 of 25 from the field. The Knicks missed 11 of their first 12 shots while Milwaukee took an 11-2 lead. Mbah a Moute’s two free throws late in the quarter gave the Bucks a 30-7 advantage.

The Knicks whittled away at their big deficit and an 11-0 run pulled them within 43-39 with 1:29 left in the first half. New York was within 86-84 after Stoudemire’s basket with 2:30 left but Delfino scored five straight points on two free throws and a 3-pointer to help the Bucks hang on.

Milwaukee’s Brandon Jennings barely missed a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Andrew Bogut added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
