Wilson Chandler recorded 21 points and eight rebounds while starting in place of injured All-Star forward Amar’e Stoudemire to lead the visiting New York Knicks to a 105-95 victory over the stubborn New Jersey Nets on Saturday.

Stoudemire was a late scratch because of a sprained big toe. It was not immediately known if or when Stoudemire was injured during the Knicks’ 113-96 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Stoudemire had 24 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes of action.

Toney Douglas scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting off the bench and Raymond Felton had 13 points and 11 assists for the Knicks (27-26), who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Devin Harris scored 22 points and Derrick Favors had 14 rebounds for the Nets (17-38), who failed to win three straight games for the sixth time this season.

Brook Lopez added 19 points and Sasha Vujacic had 15 as the Nets fell to 2-12 on second nights of back-to-back games.

After Anthony Morrow’s 3-pointer gave New Jersey an 89-87 lead with 4:33 left, Chandler hit a 3-pointer to start a 6-0 run as the Knicks took control.

The Knicks had taken an 83-74 lead early in the fourth quarter, but the Nets went on a 12-2 spurt to take the lead behind five points from Vujacic.

Stoudemire is averaging 26.2 points – third in the NBA – and 8.6 rebounds this season.

He had played in 187 straight games, the longest streak of his career, after missing 140 games in a six-year stretch.
